Cloud computing 101
More technology and a variety of it is shifting to the cloud as software as a service (SAAS) has gained prominence over the last decade. Essentially, cloud computing will continue to advance to allow greater collaboration from virtually anywhere.
So what's cloud computing? Cloud computing is essentially the outsourcing of computer code, information storage, and process with users accessing applications and files remotely. Cloud computing is delivers computing power (i.e. C.P.U, RAM, network speeds, storage OS software) service over a network instead of physically having the computing resources on location. Data and programs are hosted by outside parties and reside on a worldwide network of secure information centers rather than on the user’s drive. This frees up processing power, facilitates sharing and collaboration, and permits secure mobile access no matter where the user is or the computing device being used.
Four kinds of clouds
Private Cloud: Computing resources are deployed for one specific organization and is also used for intra-business interactions.
Community cloud: Computing assets are provided for communities and organizations and could be a cooperative effort during which infrastructure is shared between many organizations from a particular community with common considerations (security, compliance, jurisdiction, etc.). This is regardless of if it’s managed internally or by a third-party and hosted internally or outwardly.
Public Cloud: This kind of cloud is employed typically for B2C (business or enterprise to the customer) type interactions. Here the computing useful resource is owned, dominated, and operated with the aid of authorities, an academic or subject.
Hybrid Cloud: This kind of cloud is often used for each type of interaction – B2B (commercial enterprise to commercial enterprise) or B2C (business to client). This method is termed a hybrid cloud because the computing sources are alongside completely different clouds.
Cloud computing is a more economical method of delivering computing resources. With cloud computing, computer code, and repair environments being subscription-based, users pay a monthly fee rather than shopping for licenses. Computer code and platforms are managed by the suppliers and are updated around the clock for optimum performance and security. Computing power is remote rather than centralized, therefore users can tap into additional capability as the need fluctuates. Multiple individuals will access a shared program or file and collaborate in real time from completely different locations.
